As a therapist myself, I know that designing a website is about more than just marketing—it’s about sharing who you are as a clinician with your community. It’s work that requires care, heart, and a touch of vulnerability.

My design process honours the humanity of our work by putting patience, collaboration, and compassion at the centre.

Building a website is much like building a home.

And as a web designer, I act as your architect would. I listen to your needs, preferences, and ideas, then build you a custom “floor plan”, or website template. From there, I offer close guidance as you “decorate” your site to your liking—adding the wall finishings and furniture, or images, touches, and content that will make it truly yours. In the end, you’ll have an online home that is modern, clean, attractive, and sends a clear message to potential clients about your unique presence as a clinician.

Here’s how the process works:

01: pre-design period

First, I’ll guide you through some initial setup procedures, including the creation of a design brief (a mood board) which I will use to inform my work. Once that’s done, we’ll meet virtually for a 2 hour consult where you can ask questions and elaborate on your hopes for the site. This initial period takes 7-14 days.

02: design period

Next, I get to work. I build the “floor plan” of your website, using the colours, images, fonts, and overall theme you have selected. I check in halfway through to get your feedback and invite revision requests. After 7-14 days, your design will be complete. From there, you can “move in” and begin making it yours. We’ll meet virtually for one more consult and I’ll provide you with WhatsApp support as you move through the customization process.

03: post-design period

During this final stage, I’ll do a thorough clean-up of your website (minor grammar edits, readability checks, etc) before you publish it. I’ll stay actively available to you on WhatsApp for 14 more days in case you run into any bumps in the road. You can publish your site anytime you’re ready.

5800 HKD, 50% deposit required

580 HKD/hour

My full web design service includes:

  • A visual guide for setting up your site and gathering your design inspiration

  • Four hours of one on one consultation

  • WhatsApp or email support during our design period and for 14 days after

  • One opportunity for design revisions

  • A beautiful and editable 4 page website that is designed with your unique vision in mind and your potential clients at heart

  • Individualized attention and a process that is tailored to your needs (I only take one website client at a time)

  • Final proofreading/refinement work

  • I do not have any formal qualifications in web design. I am simply a curious and design-oriented millennial. I have spent much of my adult life online following my media and design-related interests. Furthermore, I am very visually inclined, and I excel at translating thoughts, feelings, and essence into digital design. I am self taught, and I am confident in saying that I am highly competent with SquareSpace. I have created dozens of websites in my lifetime.

    That said, this is not a premium service. Professional designers charge upwards of $5000 USD for complete custom website creation. I charge less because I am creating a basic (but attractive and functional) template that you will put love and work into to make it your own. I create the floor plan so you can move in with relative ease and proceed with furnishing and decoration!

  • During our final consultation, I can happily guide you through some (but not all) of your content writing. I believe that this needs to come from you, because only you know how to reach your potential clients. If you’d like, you can book extra consultation hours with me for this purpose. Writing the content is definitely not easy, but there are some tricks of the trade that make it more manageable.

  • Nope! I love working with beginners! I used to be an elementary school teacher, and one of my passions is guiding others through unfamiliar territory with care and patience. It would be my pleasure to share my knowledge and love of web design with you. No experience required.

  • Our initial pre-design process will take 7-14 days. Your website design will take 7-14 days from start to finish, and the post-design support timeframe I can offer is a maximum of 14 days (with the exception being extra consultation hours booked outside of this time period). The timing is dependent on our respective schedules and how much time you’re able to put in between consultations. For the entire design process, I set a maximum of 30 days. Once we meet, we can get a clearer picture of a timeline that works for you.

  • Logo design is not included in this service, but I can create one for you at an additional cost.

  • No, I can’t guarantee that clients will find you through search engines. I will design your site with good search engine optimization (SEO) in mind, though I am not a SEO professional, and this is primarily a design service to help you achieve a website that looks and feels good. Page views are not guaranteed from my work, but I can point you toward helpful resources to ensure people are finding your site.

  • Sorry, no I cannot. I only work with SquareSpace at this time.
